Where do brilliant ideas come from? Being sometimes short in trying to find the solution to problems, I had the chance to hit Robin’s spontaneous creativity. This idea you miss pops out of his mind like a sparck. This is probably why Robin is an entrepreneur who ‘s capable of developing innovative concepts leveraging modern thinking. He has been instrumental in some of our joined projects and I recommend him for his stroke of genius.

We were three academics, and we needed a business developer who has the technical/science skills to understand our product and also assist in developing it. We selected him out of 4 potential candidates, on the basis of his previous experience in business and development of spin-off, but also his potential contribution in product development and his versatility. He is the right person to give business advice, to develop and implement a business plan, to prepare a marketing strategy, to find investors and pitch them, but also to challenge our academic approaches and ways of working, and to provide a business-oriented vision and management to our project. Robin has the skills to frame our future company. He also has the perfect balance between challenging the group and providing solutions. He is keen to take his part of the workload, and I was so surprised when we started to work together how he was managing contacts out of the group, especially with our suppliers, prospects and investors. He gets the best of our suppliers, raises the public’s interest and engages authorities and investors. He was really bringing new skills to the group, and I am learning a lot with him on a day to day basis. Also, he is friendly and nice to work with. He is tirelessly enthusiastic and positive, but with this ability to push and keep the project on track cleverly.
